Effective August 12, 2026. This policy explains what Zieet Daily collects, how it is used, how it is protected, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
This policy applies to the Zieet Daily Android app and the zieet.com website. In data-protection terms we act as the controller of the information described below. You can reach us at support@zieet.com for any privacy question, request or complaint.
We do not ask for and do not want government identifiers, payment card numbers, bank credentials, or medical records. Please do not put them into the app. See section 7.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you (running the app), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improvement), your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
Zieet Daily does not currently display advertising and does not currently share your information with advertising networks.
We intend to introduce advertising in a future version. When that happens, an advertising provider may collect information such as an advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and app interaction data, in order to serve and measure ads. That is a material change, so before it takes effect we will update this policy and its effective date, disclose it in the app, update our Google Play Data Safety declaration, and where the law requires it ask for your consent. We will never use the content you create — your to-dos, notes, goals or lifestyle records — to target advertising.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with:
Your content is stored on your device and, when you are signed in and sync is active, on our servers. Servers may be located outside your country, and information may be transferred and processed there.
Firebase Analytics data is kept separately from your planner content and is not tied to your Zieet email address. It is retained according to the analytics retention settings and deletion controls applied to our Firebase project.
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account from Account & Security inside the app, or use our account-deletion request page if you cannot access the app. A deletion request disables the account and schedules its data for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. Signing in during that period cancels the request. After the grace period, account data is removed from active systems. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and we may retain the minimum needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
You can export a copy of your data from inside the app at any time.
We want to be straightforward here rather than reassuring.
What we do: all traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS, and the app refuses unencrypted connections. Authentication tokens and session data are stored using Android's encrypted storage. System-level backup extraction of app data is disabled. Access to production systems is limited.
What we do not claim: Zieet Daily is built and maintained by a very small independent team. It has not undergone an independent security audit or penetration test. Content stored in the app's local database on your device is not separately encrypted beyond the protection Android gives app-private storage, which means it may be readable on a device that is rooted, compromised, or unlocked by someone else. No app, website or server can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
What this means for you: please treat Zieet Daily as a planning tool, not a vault. Do not store passwords, PINs, card or bank account numbers, government identifiers such as Aadhaar or passport numbers, medical records, or anything whose exposure would seriously harm you. Keep a screen lock on your device, and use a strong, unique password for your account.
Nothing in this section limits any obligation we have under applicable data-protection law, including our duty to apply reasonable security safeguards and to notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. In India you may also nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are incapacitated.
Access, export and deletion are available directly in the app. You can also request account and data deletion on the web. For anything else, or if a control is not working for you, write to support@zieet.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to your data-protection authority — in India, the Data Protection Board.
Zieet Daily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Where local law sets a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must consent on the child's behalf. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. When a change is material — the introduction of advertising being the clearest example — we will update the effective date above, and give notice in the app before the change takes effect.
